Ron DeSantis Is "A Robot Put Together From Scrapped Spare Parts From Disney’s the Hall of Presidents," Says Critic

Ouch!

During his time serving as the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis has had his fair share of insults thrown his way. For the most part, any politician will receive a plentiful lashing of disdainful jabs on a daily basis. However, DeSantis’ polarizing views on the LGBTQ+ community, as well as the Walt Disney Company, have made him ‘public enemy number one‘ for many Americans.

The relationship between the Walt Disney World Resort and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been marred by a bitter feud that highlights the struggle for power and influence in the Sunshine State. As the magical Disney Parks continue to attract tourists from around the world, the governing district, Reedy Creek Improvement District, holds immense power within the resort’s boundaries.

The Reedy Creek Improvement District is 38 square miles of land that encompasses both Walt Disney World and the adjacent municipality of Bay Lake. Governed by a five-member board, the district wields significant control over zoning regulations, building codes, and municipal services. This unique governance structure, created in the 1960s to grant Walt Disney greater control over the construction and operation of the resort, has often been a subject of controversy and potential conflicts of interest.

Earlier this year, DeSantis moved to take that power away from the Walt Disney Company. He implemented the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District to keep a close eye on Disney’s control over the land.

Since then, the impression of DeSantis has not been great amongst a large number of Disney Parks fans. With the 2024 Presidential Election creeping up on us all, some Disney fans are beginning to fear “the worst”; what if DeSantis wins the election and becomes a part of Disney’s Hall of Presidents?!

The Hall of Presidents is an attraction in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom Park. Disney describes the attraction, saying;

“Learn about the formation of our Constitution and the hard-fought struggles along the way—such as the American Revolution and the Civil War. Listen to the stirring words of John F. Kennedy echo through the theater and watch Abraham Lincoln—in attendance on stage—deliver his Gettysburg address.

Watch the curtain rise to reveal startlingly realistic Audio-Animatronics replicas of every President of the United States—together for the very first time. Hear a speech delivered by George Washington and a recorded performance of the oath of office by the newest addition to the Hall, 46th President Joe Biden.”

With DeSantis running for President, there is a chance he could end up in this Hall of Presidents despite his feud with Disney. In a recent article from the Washington Post, DeSantis is described by a critic as “a robot put together from scrapped spare parts from Disney’s The Hall of Presidents.”

These harsh words could very well become a reality if DeSantis is able to ignite his campaign.

For now, Disney fans who have had enough of this political mess will be patiently waiting to hear less news about the feud between Ron DeSantis and the Walt Disney Company.
